The Beaudoins :: Family

April 17, 2013

Some of the best sessions come out of the simplest of settings, because there's one thing that you can't hide or alter and that speaks louder and clearer than any prop, background or outfit. That's genuine love between the subjects.

If you've been reading my blog, one of the gorgeous faces in this post might look familiar. I worked with Lise on a very special session, where she displayed her incredible talent for  doing hair and make up. If you don't remember, you can check it out here and if you haven't already done so, go support her on her Facebook page.

Anyways, Lise contacted me and let me know that her and her brothers and sisters wanted to give their parents a family session for Christmas. I went to school with Lise's oldest brother and his wife, Jean-Marc and Candace, and met her parents, sister and two brothers when I worked the photobooth at the Rock the Dress Valentine's Benefit Gala. I can't tell you how thankful I am that they thought about me to do this for their parents.

They're a big family with so much love and respect for everyone that it left both Brandi and I feeling so thankful and just HAPPY. Happy that their session was relaxed and fun (complete with inspiration from Awkward Family Photos), happy that there's people in this world that love their family and honestly enjoys the time they get to spend together, and happy that they are continuing that cycle with the grandkids of the family.

Beaudoins, you have made me want to love more. I didn't know it was possible, but seeing you all interact with one another and how you enveloped Brandi and I in it if just for a morning, has shown me how much more I can love those around me, stranger or not. Thank you for such a beautiful session and opening your home to us. You are an incredible family!
