Sabrina :: My Sister

June 15, 2012

A few weeks ago (actually the same weekend I had my very first Grad Rep session)our oldest sister, Sabrina, came out to visit Brandi and I.

Because of her busy life she doesn't get to come out as often as we'd all like, but when she does make it out, it's always so much fun. And because Brandi has taken up an interest in photography and wants to learn more about it, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to get Sabrina in front of the camera and Brandi behind it...and I directed them what to do. To be honest, it's a role that I fill quite nicely. lol.

As the youngest, I'll admit I am the stereotypical baby of the family, and I've probably driven my sisters a bit cray cray over the years. But I love them more than they know! We might fight like crazy, but I think we love just as hard. :)

Sabrina has had quite the year, and I'm sure she thought some times she wouldn't make it through, but it's a good thing she has Brandi and I as sisters because we never doubted she would. She's come out of her trials and tribulations much stronger, smarter and I think even more mature than she was before.

Brandi you did an incredible job...you should be proud of yourself...you're kinda a natural...or had someone really great teaching you what to do. ;)

Sabrina, you're gorgeous. Thank you for being the best big sistah two girls could ever have. Love you lots, Weiner. :)

Oh and because we had two little cuties that came along with us on our mini-session, they snuck in on a couple of shots! :)

And on an exciting note....tomorrow is my first solo wedding!! I'm really not sure if I'm going to be sleeping tonight...I don't know how you brides do it! :)

Bailey & Amy :: 2013 Grad Reps

June 4, 2012

I am BEYOND excited to publish this post! I would probably add more exclamation points, but I don't want this post to be any longer than it already is...there is so much good stuff in this one! :)

Whenever I'm browsing on Pinterest or Facebook, I'm always drawn to the Senior/Grad portraits. I love them. I don't know why...maybe it's because I really wish they were popular when I graduated, or maybe because it's such an exciting time for the subject, or maybe I wish I was 17 again. I don't know. But I LOVE THEM. Looking back, I totally get how important they are. It's a photo that can't wait until next year. It needs to happen now...and I am just so lucky to know two lovely ladies who are graduating next year! More about them later...

While perusing Facebook (that happens from time to time...heh heh), I came across a page for a new make up artist/hairstylist, that I happened to work with many years ago. I knew instantly that this was going to be the last piece to my Grad Rep puzzle. :) When Lise agreed to come on board all the stars aligned and I can't imagine working with anyone else. You have to go and like her Facebook page...right after you finish reading this post, of course! Lise, you are extremely talented and have a natural gift for helping girls and women alike discover their beauty. I can't thank you enough for working with me!

Here are some shots of Lise creating her beautiful pieces of art:

So without further ado, please let me introduce you to my 2013 Grad Reps!

Bailey came into my life about six years ago, and in that time I have become her Auntie and she is my niece. I love you, Bailey. I can't tell you how much, because I don't think you'd ever believe it. You are just as beautiful inside as you are outside. Don't ever let anyone make you feel less than the wonderful and worthy person you are. You are a delight.

Wherever Bailey goes, Amy isn't far. They've been friends for years and have an unbreakable bond. Amy, thank you for taking care of our Bailey. Not only do I LOVE your name, but you have a heart of gold and for that I'm so happy and thankful that Bailey has someone like that to go through these years with. You've made the transformation to a beautiful, confident young woman seamlessly...never let anyone shake that. That confidence is yours and yours alone.

These girls are unbelievably gorgeous. The proof is in the pudding. Seriously. I am so honoured to have two beautiful, intelligent, gracious and humble young women as my grad reps. I love you girls. Thank you so much for making my first grad session such a fun experience!

So...if you're a grad or know a grad...contact me! Let's plan a fun afternoon with hair, makeup, photos and my great jokes! Ok, you'll get three out of the four...
